The Triangle's Premier Jiu Jitsu Gym

Team Casarez is a Lucas Lepri affiliate located in the Triangle (Cary, Raleigh, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill) area. We offer 20+ training sessions a week including Gi jiu jitsu, No Gi Jiu Jitsu, kids classes and open mats.

With an emphasis on the gentle art modified by Jigoro Kano, Professor Tony Casarez focuses on technique mastering brute strength. He teaches students of all levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors.

As an affiliate of 9X World Champion Black Belt, Lucas Lepri, the school’s community and techniques are influenced by one of the most decorated jiu jitsu athletes in the world.

At Team Casarez, we believe that Jiu Jitsu is a lifestyle, and our goal is to share both the mental and physical benefits of Jiu Jitsu with our students. We are a supportive and competitive environment that pushes you to become stronger, healthier, and the best version of yourself, on and off the mat.

Professor Tony Casarez is a Multiple Time IBJJF Champion with 16+ years of training experience. He is a black belt under 9x World Champion, Lucas Lepri. Other instructors include black belt Ted Miller, and purple belt, Milo Ketterhagen.

  Absolutely the best BJJ you'll find in the triangle regardless of your training intent -- whether your goals are competition, self-defense, or just to get in shape, Tony, Ferny, and everybody else here are more than willing to help you on your journey.   Kids classes are outstanding; wish there were more days offered though. I tried several gyms in the area for my kids, and this one by far is the best overall experience. All of the coaches are on point. No need to compete, but if you do the coaches will be in your kids corner in tournaments.

  Top notch facility for learning jiu jitsu. I have been attending for about 1 month now, and my experience has been amazing. Having never trained a martial art in my life, I was worried about starting. Every member of the team has been extremely welcoming, with absolutely zero judgement. You want to just learn a new life skill, come to this school. If you just want a new way to workout to supplement your current regimen, come to this school. If you feel like you have trouble fitting in, come give this a try. I've never seen a new student not be welcomed.
